Lita Rossana Ford - also known as Lita Ford - is an American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter British heritage. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a leader guitarist in the girl-only hard rock band The Runaways. It was not possible for the group to be an overnight success in the United States, but they gained much popularity in other countries, particularly Japan. Ford had a long and lucrative career as a heavy metal singer after her band's split in 1979. After studying voice and releasing her own debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin' on the Edge". Ford's albums were not very popular, and she stayed away for several years. In 1988, she returned to the spotlight with the album that became a huge hit "Lita". The single "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were big hits. Unfortunately, her success was not long-lasting as she disappeared from the music industry for many years. The album "Black" album debuted in 1995. Her 'Wicked Wonderland" released almost fifteen years after. The latest album she released, Time Capsule was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
